Growing Tips
Prairie Fruit Varieties

Saskatoons

This native fruit has found its place in the home garden and commercial plantations throughout the Prairies. Saskatoons are self fruitful but better crops are produced if there is some cross pollination. All of our varieties have been grown in the most northern climates, but winter protection is required in Zone 0. The berries of all varieties are appropriate for eating fresh, cooking, jam, juice and wine.
